My name is Shamyl Saigol and I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and counsellor working in Earls Court, London. I offer a range of both short term and long term psychotherapy and counselling for individuals and couples.

Your emotional health is my concern and I pride myself on making clients feel at ease:

Experience
I have several years of experience working as a psychotherapist and counsellor in the NHS. I am experienced at working with a wide range of issues including the following:
  • Depression, losing interest in the things you used to enjoy, feeling hopeless and sad or as if everything takes an enormous amount of effort and you don't have the energy for it

  • Anxiety, finding yourself unable to stop worrying, such that it interferes with your ability to enjoy your life

  • Stress, feeling as though you are frequently behind, or not doing well enough or overwhelmed

  • Work-related issues, these can include poor relationships at work, or depression, stress or anxiety in the workplace

  • Self-esteem, frequently criticising yourself or telling yourself that you are incompetent or not good enough

  • Trauma (both past and present), having gone through an event that continues to haunt you when you are awake or asleep, which you cannot seem to shake off no matter what you do

  • PTSD, when your normal ability to cope has been completely overwhelmed by a terrible event that leaves you feeling that your world has changed utterly

  • Sexuality, confusion or shame over one’s sexual identity or over sexual events currently or in the past

  • Relationship difficulties, when difficulties arise, strained relationships can leave you feeling unhappy, trapped, angry, and desperate

  • Bereavement and loss, grief is what we feel when somebody we love dies or when we experience some sort of loss in our lives, whether through the loss of a relationship, the diagnosis of an illness, or a life changing circumstance. Changes of this sort can bring about a loss that can be experienced as devastating.
