Areas of Specialism

I welcome clients of all ages, backgrounds and sexualities. I have 3 years experience working with clients, in particular those facing chronic illnesses, to help themselves. I have worked and continue to work in a variety of settings, such as the NHS, charitable organisations, statutory agencies, in primary care clinics, and with private clients, and am experienced at working with a number of issues that clients bring to me, such as chronic illness, disabilities, sexuality, relationship and partnership issues, and addictions(food, drug, alcohol and sex). I have worked with individuals and couples where communication and intimacy have broken down and sex has stopped. I have also worked extensively with sexual minority clients and have specialist knowledge of working with a range of LGBT issues.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and conduct my practice within the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, which includes regular client supervision, client confidentiality, public liability indemnity, as well as guidelines for professional conduct.
